Stewart Hilton

Stewart Hilton is the Community Conductor at Musical U. He brings with him a lifelong enjoyment of music and decades of experience as a professional musician, performer, and music writer.

Having graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in music he would focus more on music working in music retail and eventually working for two music manufacturers in sales. During this time, he also would do guitar instruction for many years.

His main instrument is guitar and has performed and recorded with groups playing metal, prog rock, country and even disco! There have been 7 recordings he has written for and played on over time, including a few releases that were self-produced (some of these can be found on Spotify, Amazon Prime, iTunes and others). In regards to performing, one of his current career highlights is touring with a professional tribute show which toured the United States doing shows honoring Elton John, Billy Joel, Rascal Flatts and a disco show.

In Musical U he acts as Community Conductor helping, encouraging, and interacting with members as they traverse through their musical journey. He also writes the Weekly Update which features an interesting musical story, a music tip and celebrates members accomplishments.
