It’s been a busy first week here at! Here are some things you might have missed:

First things first – What is ear training? Find out here, (and if you’re still not sure let us know in the comments below!)

We introduced our team of authors for the siteSabrina showed us how to bring rhythm into our lives. Thomas kicked off his new series Pitch & Harmony with a piece on the importance of ear training. Fotios got stuck straight into why you should make frequency training part of your musical life, the first in his series Frequency Fundamentals, and Joseph offered some great advice for making sure your time spent training really helps you learn.

We launched our first quiz here on the site, “Intro To Ear Training” which is a great first step if you want to develop your ears but don’t know where to start. We’ve had scores across the board, from 0/10 right up to a few people scoring 10/10 – impressive!

Our Resources page went live with links to all sorts of helpful sites for ear training. There’s still more to add though, let us know if we’ve missed any of your favourites…

We opened the doors to our Forums, where you can come ask for help, offer your own guidance and tips, and discuss your training with other musicians and audio lovers. Come sign up (it only takes a minute), introduce yourself and speak your mind!

In celebration of the site launch, we cut the price of our RelativePitch iPhone app – today’s your last chance to pick it up at 25% off! We also put a new demo video online for RelativePitchLite, the free introductory version. If you don’t know a minor sixth from a tritone and want to hear more detail in the music you love, now’s the time to make it happen!

Speaking of celebrations, tomorrow is the official launch party in London! We’re rushing around right now, doing last-minute preparations to make sure it’s a great evening. There’s still a few places left on the guest list, so if you want to learn more about how ear training can be made easy, effective and fun, check out the event on Facebook or email and come celebrate with us tomorrow!

Phew, that was a busy week! There’s lots more lined up for the weeks to come, including the continuation of our two new series on harmony and frequencies, more posts from our expert authors, new online training tools and some exciting developments on the iPhone app front. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on any of it, you can subscribe for email notifications of new articles or use our RSS feed to stay up to date. You can also find us on Twitter and Facebook.

Now over to you – what do you want to see here on the site? How can we help with your training? We’d love to hear from you, in the comments below or over in the forums.
